MachineBechdo.com (“MachineBechdo”, “we”, “us”) operates the MachineBechdo website and the MachineBechdo Android app. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how it’s handled. It applies to both the website and the Android app, since the app simply displays the same site.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account or post a listing, we collect your name, email address, WhatsApp/phone number, and a password (stored securely, never in plain text).
Listing content. When you post a machine for sale, we collect the title, description, price, condition, city, category, and any photos you upload.
Push notification token. If you use the Android app and allow notifications, your device registers a notification token with our server so we can notify you when your ad is approved and goes live. We do not use this for advertising or any purpose beyond notifying you about your own account and listings.
Standard technical data. Like most websites, our server and hosting provider automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use this information
- To create and manage your account, and let you post, edit, and manage your listings.
- To display your listing to potential buyers, including the price, description, photos, and city.
- To let interested buyers contact you directly via WhatsApp using the phone number you provided on your listing.
- To send you email or push notifications about your own account activity — for example, when your ad is approved.
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse or fraudulent listings.
What we share, and with whom
Your listing is public. Anything you put on a listing (title, description, price, photos, city, and the WhatsApp number you provide) is visible to anyone who visits the site, by design — that’s how buyers reach you.
We do not sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Service providers. We use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging solely to deliver push notifications to the Android app, and our web hosting provider to run the site. These providers only receive the minimum data needed to perform that function (e.g., a device notification token).
Payments
MachineBechdo does not process payments, and we never ask for or store payment card, bank, or financial account details. Buyers and sellers arrange price and payment directly between themselves, off-platform. We recommend meeting in person, inspecting the machine, and verifying documents before any payment is made.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. You can delete an individual listing at any time from the “My Ads” page. To delete your account entirely, email us at the address below and we will remove your account and associated listings.
Children’s privacy
MachineBechdo is intended for business and personal use by adults buying and selling machinery. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including secure password storage and restricted access to sensitive configuration files. No online service can guarantee complete security, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
